Approximately 18,000 revolvers were shipped in black boxes in .45 caliber. Of those just over 5,100 were shipped in 7 1/2″ barrel and blue/casehardened finish. Add in attrition and the fact that this is a 100% revolver, you have a collectable gun that is extremely rare. A collectors dream piece to add to his/her collection.
