Factory Letter
The .44 Special is the rarest of all the post war calibers. It was produced for only 10 years with production ceasing in 1966, except for special orders.
Revolver is 100% with the exception of one spot of very minor freckling on the frame above the cylinder.

Black box is not numbered to the revolver. Included is the brochure, warranty card, Handling the Handgun pamphlet, brush and wax paper. Box is virtually 100% with very minor corner wear.
Total .44 Special revolvers shipped in black boxes was 2,075, with 1,129 having 5 ½” barrels. The majority of .44 Specials were shipped in black boxes with just 200 – 250 shipped in the stagecoach box.
